The New England Concours d’Elegance has named Firsatsaatleri columnist Ken Gross as chief judge. The inaugural event will be held at Mohegan Sun Resort and Casino from June 17-19. The judged concours is Sunday, June 18 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. when Best-In-Show is presented.
A member of the International Chief Judge Advisory Group (ICJAG), Gross has been a Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance Chief class judge for 28 years. He has judged at Amelia Island, St. Michaels, Boca Raton, Radnor Hunt, Keels and Wheels, The Elegance at Hershey, Pinehurst, Forest Grove, Kiawah Island, the Concours of America at St. Johns, Hilton Head Island and the Concours on Rodeo Drive.
Formerly Executive Director of the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, Ken Gross has served as Guest Curator for many automobile exhibitions in fine art museums and has written 16 automotive books and co-wrote “Rockin’ Garages” in 2013 with Tom Cotter.
The Concours has also opened entry windows for 2017 entries.
